The National Commission for State Regulation of the Financial Services Market (National Commission for Financial Services) in 2016 revoked licenses and excluded information about 41 insurance companies from the State Register of Financial Institutions, and also revoked licenses of 8 more insurers.
As reported on the regulator's website, over the past year the National Commission for Financial Services revoked licenses and excluded from the state register of financial organizations the following insurance companies: Katerynoslav Insurance Company, Planeta PJSC, Argo Insurance Company, Contact Insurance Company, Citadel Insurance Company, Spivdruzhnist Insurance Company, Velika Insurance Company, AvtoEximstrakh Insurance Company, Delta Insurance Company, Delta Life Insurance Company, Delta Re Insurance Company, Skyd Insurance Company, Progress Fund, Nova Insurance Company, Vector Invest Life Insurance Company, Vector Invest, Rada Insurance Company, Svarog Insurance Company, "LEMMA", "Sinclair", "Astarta", "Aktiv-Strakhuvannya", "Khoros", "Disclose", "Ukrainian Reserves", "Coral", "Viralife", "Orly", "Atlanta", "Standard Re", "Legal Insurance", "Syavi", "MD-Garant", "Promyslova", "Chas", GP Insurance", "Zhoda", "Aurora", "Garant-Life", "Pro vysyk sluzhba", "Ukrnaftatrans".
The National Committee for Financial Services also decided to revoke the licenses of the companies "EKKO", "Ukrainian Insurance Group "Life", "UOSK", "Authority", ST "Illichivske", "Deka Insurance", "Vona", "Oranta-Life".
According to the regulator, at the beginning of 2016, 361 insurance companies were registered in Ukraine, of which 49 specialized in life insurance, 312 - in risk insurance.
