Astarta Agricultural Holding bought the Ukrainian Agrarian Insurance Company. This follows from the company's financial report for the three quarters of 2017.
Astarta acquired 100% of the insurer's shares this year. The transaction amount was UAH 10.458 million.
The Ukrainian Agrarian Insurance Company has been operating on the Ukrainian market since 1995. The company is one of the four founders of the Agrarian Insurance Pool. The authorized capital of the Company is UAH 12 million. Net profit at the end of 2016 amounted to UAH 10.207 million.
Astarta Agroindustrial Holding unites six regional divisions in Poltava, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsia, Ternopil, Zhytomyr and Kharkiv regions. They include nine sugar refineries, agricultural holdings with a land bank of 245,000 hectares, dairy farms, as well as a biofuel and soybean plant. Net profit for the three quarters of this year amounted to 74 million euros (-6%). Consolidated revenue increased by 61% to 349 million euros.
