The Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine has published data on the operation of the market of compulsory third-party liability insurance of car owners for the nine months of 2017.
According to official statistics of the MTIBU, the Insurance Group «TAS» continues to strengthen its positions in the market of compulsory «auto civil».
So, during January – September, the company issued 490,687 MTPL policies, the amount of insurance proceeds for which reached UAH 205,650,724. These results provided the SG «TAS» honorable third place among the leaders of the "auto-civil" market.
In terms of the volume of insurance payments, the "TAS" Insurance Group, which compensated victims with UAH 85,400,930 over nine months, also took third place among 55 companies represented in the OSCPV market. It should be noted that the amount of payments on which the insurer made a decision is UAH 87,880,508.
According to MTIBU, the average insurance premium under the compulsory third-party liability insurance policy for car owners amounted to UAH 491 over the nine months. At the same time, SG "TAS", in which this indicator is 419 UAH, entered the top ten insurers with the lowest average premium.
In general, in the market, according to official data, in January - September, the amount of accrued insurance premiums increased compared to the same period last year by 7.6% - to 2,756 million UAH, including 2,289 million UAH at regular tariffs, 207 million UAH at preferential tariffs and 259.9 million UAH at reduced tariffs.
In turn, the accrued amount of insurance compensation for claims for which a decision on payment was made increased by 38.9% to 1,384 million UAH, including 45.9 million UAH for damage caused to the life and health of third parties persons, and UAH 1,338 million - for property damage. The total amount of actually transferred insurance payments over the nine months reached UAH 1,381 million, of which UAH 45.5 million was compensated for damage caused to life and health, and UAH 1,263 million - for property damage.
