Customers refused the services of the Ukrainian insurer at the last moment.
PJSC "National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine" held a tender for insurance of mass events during the weeks of the "Eurovision" song contest.
This was reported in the "Prozorro" system.
So, on May 5, an agreement was concluded with PJSC "Insurance Company "Unika" for the amount of 630.8 thousand UAH. The tender committee explained its choice by the fact that "Unika" in countries with a client base of over 10 million people.
The insurance territory is: International Exhibition Center, "Euroclub" (Parkovy Exhibition and Convention Center), Eurovision Town (from Prorizna Street to Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street), Red Carpet (Mariinsky Park).
Another tender for Eurovision insurance worth UAH 660,000 was won by Poltava PJSC "Salamandra Ukraine Insurance Company". However, at the last moment, the customers canceled the signing of the contract, citing the lack of need.
According to the business search resource Youcontrol, the main founder and controller of PJSC "Uniqa Insurance Company" (92.23%) is the Austrian Uniqa.
"Main Company" also reported that the official opening ceremony of the «Eurovision-2017» in Kyiv will be held at the «Parkovy» Congress and Exhibition Center on May 7. And before that, a solemn procession of contestants along the red carpet will take place. Currently, the carpet is being installed near the central entrance to the Verkhovna Rada.
The «Eurovision» semi-finals will be held on May 9 and 11. The final is on May 13.
Ukraine will perform as the 22nd number in the final of the song contest.
