Taking into account the false and unfounded information that appears on the Internet with reference to Anna Proskurina's statements, PJSC Insurance Company "Euroins Ukraine" (hereinafter referred to as the Company), for its part, announces the following:
In the period from September 2012 to July 2016, Anna Proskurina indeed held the position of Chairman of the Board of the Company. As it later became clear, during these years Proskurina directly violated the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine. As a result of the illegal actions of the former Chairman of the Board, the Company suffered significant material damage. According to preliminary estimates, its amount is over 7 million UAH.
Another result of Proskurina's illegal activities as Chairman of the Board of the Company are the penalties imposed on the Insurance Company by regulatory authorities. Their amount amounted to over 800 thousand UAH.
Thus, PrJSC "IC "Euroins Ukraine" believes that the actions of Anna Proskurina as the Chairman of the Board should be qualified under Art. 191, Part 2, Art. 364-1, Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - abuse of power or official position.
Namely, it is about the intentional use by an official of power or official position contrary to the interests of the service in order to obtain any unlawful benefit for himself or herself or a legal entity (including with the help of forged documents).
For a person who has caused significant harm to the rights, freedoms or interests of legal entities protected by the Law, the sanctions of the aforementioned articles of the Criminal Code provide for a minimum term of imprisonment of 7 years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions and with confiscation of all property.
We note that Anna Proskurina, as the head of the Company from September 2012 to July 2016, was an official who was obliged, in accordance with her powers, to do everything necessary to protect the interests of the Company. However, Proskurina's illegal actions, on the contrary, led to losses for the Insurance Company totaling about UAH 8 million.
As a result, PJSC "Insurance Company "Euroins Ukraine", defending its rights, was forced to file a criminal complaint against Anna Proskurina under the above-mentioned articles.
