Today, February 7, the National Commission for Financial Services' order came into force, which introduces the concept of "electronic policy in Ukraine. Now all drivers who wish will be able to buy insurance policies for motor third-party liability insurance (in common parlance - "auto civil liability insurance") via the Internet. Let's just say that so far only seven insurance companies in Ukraine have passed the "KitSoft" certification (official technical partner of the Motor Transport Insurance Bureau (MTIB)) and received the right to implement electronic OSCPV policies.
The list of certified companies includes ASK «INGO Ukraine», SK «PZU Ukraine», SK «Arsenal Insurance», SK «UNIKA», «AXA Insurance», ST «Dominanta», SK «Unives» and SK «Vuso».
The service was launched on the basis of the «Industrial site" Subsystems Electronic policy of the "Central Database (CDB) of MTIBU.
Member of the National Committee for Financial Services Denys Yastreb called the implementation of the electronic policy "one of the most important achievements of the past and this year".
To issue an electronic insurance policy of the OCCP you need to submit an appropriate application on the insurance company's website, indicating all the necessary data for concluding the contract.
This is what an application for an electronic policy looks like
After processing the application, the insurer sends the client an offer indicating the cost of services. If the client is satisfied with everything, he simply confirms the application and pays for the contract through the insurer's website or in any other convenient way. Before that, the client had to go to the insurance company's office or meet with a company representative in person to receive the policy.
An electronic policy will save time and money - it is expected that they will be cheaper than traditional ones. In addition, they will provide additional protection for consumers from possible fraud - bankrupt insurers automatically lose the ability to register contracts through the central database.

Now, having an electronic contract, the driver does not have to have carry its paper version with you. The authenticity of the policy will be checked by the National Police officers using the vehicle registration number or the contract number. Moreover, the check itself will be carried out online using a tablet.
The paper policy will not go anywhere, it will be in circulation in parallel with the electronic one for a year, and will have equal legal force with it.
