Electronic policy is gaining popularity among Ukrainian drivers. As of the beginning of June, more than 14 thousand electronic OSCPV contracts have been concluded. The amount of insurance payments received under electronic contracts amounted to 9.4 million UAH.
The opportunity to conclude a contract of compulsory motor third party liability insurance has appeared for Ukrainian drivers since February 7, 2018 in accordance with the Resolution of the National Committee of Financial Services No. 3631 dated August 31, 2017 "On approval of amendments to the Regulation on the features of concluding contracts of compulsory motor third party liability insurance of owners of land vehicles".
Electronic policy of compulsory motor third party liability insurance - this is a fast and convenient way to obtain insurance protection, which is available to the client at any time.
Insurers are actively developing the sales channel for electronic OSCPV policies. In particular, they can be concluded in "Alfa Insurance" SC, "ARSENAL INSURANCE" SC, "ASKA" SC, "ASKO-Medservice" SC, "AHA Insurance" SC, "BRITISH AUTO CLUB" SC, SC "BROCKBIZNES", SC "VUSO", SC " Globus, SC "European SA", SC "INGO Ukraine", SC "KNYAZHA VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP", SC "Kraina", SC "International SC", SC "Mega-guarantor", SC "ORANTA", SC "PZU Ukraine", SC "Providna", SC "TAS", SC "Ukrainian Insurance Group", SC "Universal", SC "UNIKA", SC "UPSK", SC "Kharkiv municipal SK", SK «UNIVES». MTIBU is carrying out a number of measures to coordinate the procedure for verifying electronic policies by the National Police by making on-line requests to the MTIBU Central Database. During the transition period, to avoid misunderstandings, we recommend that drivers who own electronic insurance contracts have a printed visual form of the electronic policy with them.
We emphasize that the implementation of the «electronic policy» does not cancel the possibility of concluding insurance contracts in paper form. The right to choose the form of the compulsory insurance contract remains with the client.
«An electronic policy is convenient, first of all, for the client of the insurance company, because it is available at any time in any place. It can be concluded directly on the Internet, or by contacting an insurance company intermediary or the insurer's office. At the same time, the client receives guaranteed insurance protection and avoids the risk of concluding a fake OSCPV contract. An electronic OSCPV policy is a reliable and modern type of insurance protection», — emphasized Volodymyr Shevchenko, General Director of MTIBU.
