The developers of "Kyiv Citizen's Cards" have launched an open online registration function that will allow all residents of the capital to use a number of the project's services without having a physical card in their hands. A corresponding mobile application for iOS and Android platforms will also be launched soon.
After registering, Kyiv residents will be able to pay for utilities online, apply for insurance, top up their mobile phone account, buy tickets, pay for Internet services, and also make an appointment with a doctor, official, or write a complaint. According to the developers, open registration will be interesting for those residents of the capital who are not card owners, are in the process of obtaining it, or have not yet decided whether it will be useful to them.
In order to use the new function, on the registration page you need to select the item "I do not have a "Kyiv Citizen's Card", indicate your phone number, email and create a password. The screen will display a full list of modules: medicine, transport, education, trade, utility payment service, administrative services, culture, insurance and payment for services.
The developers noted that not all functions of the "Kyiv Citizen's Card" will be available in open registration mode. Services that require user identification can only be used if you have a physical card - these are digital services such as creating or voting for a petition, participating in the "Public Project" initiative, and more.
"We decided to open access to some services to everyone so that they could understand the capabilities of the "Kyiv Citizen's Card" and make sure that its functionality is convenient and necessary for life in a big city. The same solution will be implemented in the mobile application,” noted Alina Maksymenko, the manager of the “Kyiv Citizen Cards” project.
Let us recall that the Kyiv City State Administration plans to launch a single electronic ticket for public transport in the capital in April 2018. The "Kyiv Citizen Card" can be used as a digital travel card not only in the metro, city train, high-speed tram, but also in other types of ground municipal transport.
